Van Cleef & Arpels will show a unique jewelry collection "Bals de Legende"

French jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels will present, within the framework of the Design Days Dubai initiative, which will be held from March 18 to 21, a unique collection of its luxurious jewelry - Bals de LegendeTM ("Legendary Balls"). The collection consists of five thematic “chapters”: Le Bal du Palais d'Hiver, Le Bal du Siecle, Le Bal Black & White, Le Bal Oriental and Le Bal Proust. Each “chapter” is made up of rings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches made in different genres.

The “chapter” on Russian balls (Le Bal du Palais d'Hiver) is represented by the Diamond Dancer brooch, Zima necklace, Providence and Zinaide rings, as well as Loup Diamants earrings. The "Venetian" story is dedicated to the ball, which took place on September 3, 1951 (Le Bal du Siecle). It was organized by the Frenchman Charles de Bestegi. The whole city was at this holiday, it was a real social carnival. The ball "inspired" the masters to create brooches of the Colored Sapphires Dancer and Notte Azzurra, as well as the Bauta ring.

The "Leader" of Le Bal Black & White talks about a ball that took place in New York in 1966. It was given by Truman Capote. It was attended by 500 of the most prominent world celebrities, including Vivien Leigh, Marlene Dietrich, Frank Sinatra, Greta Garbo, Rockefeller, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the Kennedy family and the Jaipur Maharajah. Masters talk about the grand festival of the world elite with the help of Diamond and Onix Dancer brooches, Heavenscaper jewelry and Black & White earrings. The Heavenscaper set, created from white pearls, onyx and diamonds, is undoubtedly the highlight of the collection.

The Oriental-style Paris ball (Le Bal Oriental) was organized by Baron Alexis de Rede in 1969. On that day, the baron’s palace was visited by such legendary figures as Salvador Dali, Viscountess de Rib, Amanda Lear, Brigitte Bardot, Baroness Guy de Rothschild and Crown Princess of Denmark Margarete. The ball is "presented" by the Danseuse Oriental brooch, floral-inspired Fleurs Mysterieuses and the Macara ring.

In 1971, one of the brightest balls of the 20th century - Le Bal Proust. A costumed social event took place in the castle of Ferrier. The memorial “ensemble” of the ball consists of three jewelry: a Rosemunde brooch, an Oiseau jewelry and a Miss Audrey ring.
