From February 22 to 27, 2011, Crocus Expo IEC hosted the 4th brilliant International Exhibition of Yachts, Boats and Related Products - Moscow Boat Show. The organizers of the exhibition - Crocus Expo IEC and the National Association of the Marine Industry - presented to the attention of visitors an unusual exhibition, striking in design, decoration and unique exhibits!
The Moscow Boat Show 2011 project was attended by 180 companies from 16 regions of the Russian Federation and 12 countries, which showed the best and newest from the world of yachting: from design and technical equipment of ships to cruise tours and training courses for beginners. The total exhibition area was 18,000 square meters. meters.
The opening ceremony, which took place on the first day of the exhibition, was attended by: President of the All-Russian Sailing Federation (VFPS), prize-winner of the Olympic Games in Atlanta Georgy Shayduko; President of the National Association of the Marine Industry (NAMI) Alexander Markarov; the first deputy director of Crocus Expo IEC Arkady Zlotnikov and the director of the Moscow Boat Show project Ekaterina Grishechkina. All speakers noted the growing interest of Russian residents in sailing, which is gradually acquiring the status of a serious hobby that requires a high level of training.
Each day of the exposition was held in a whirlwind of entertainment, training and business events. Unique master classes were organized at the booths of the VFPS, the Sailing Academy and the Micro class Association: beginner sailors learned the basics of navigation, learned the principles of yacht management and the art of knitting marine knots under the guidance of professional yachtsmen.
On February 26, 2011, the long-awaited meeting of the Russian national team in match racing with the racers of the Micro class and yachtsmen of Moscow was held, which was attended by famous yachtsmen: Ekaterina Skudina, Andrey Arbuzov, Evgeny Nikiforov, Maxim Taranov, Vyacheslav Frolov. The guests spoke about their impressions of the championships, shared their sports plans for the future.
On the same day, a meeting of the VFPS Presidium was held under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Tver Region, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the VFPS Dmitry Zelenin, which was attended by representatives of the sailing community from all regions of Russia. Many of the exhibits presented at the Moscow Boat Show made a strong impression on the guests of the exhibition. “I was just struck by the Burevestnik booth - the real splendor of the water element! And the 17-meter yachts Sanseeker Manhattan 52 and Fairline Sguadron 55 are an incredible combination of technical equipment and stylish design, you can live in such yachts!”, Commented visitor Artyom Lanskoy.
It is worth adding to the above that the Azimut Yachts Russia company presented at the exhibition the largest yacht - Azimut 58 (length - 17, 9 m, width - 4, 94 m) with incredible technical characteristics. “I have been fond of sailing for a long time, so this exhibition is a long-awaited and informative event for me. Only here you can see new opportunities in the yachting industry and even touch the“ beautiful ”,” another visitor, Leonid Pashkin, commented on the exhibition.
Despite the high interest of the army of water sports fans, the Moscow Boat Show exhibition, among other things, is a full-fledged business project. During the event, many exhibitors entered into contracts for the supply of equipment, sailing yachts and boats. In conclusion, it should be noted that the Moscow Boat Show helps representatives of the yachting business to get acquainted with their Russian colleagues and gradually brings the domestic yacht market to a new level. Obviously, over the four years of its existence, the project has turned into a status event of the international exhibition calendar.
