The first Matchworld Cup football tournament was held in Dubai at the new Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, in which six football teams took part.
The championship was held for a week. The following teams fought for the championship prize: the champion of Ukraine and the UEFA Cup in 2009, Donetsk Shakhtar; champion of Saudi Arabia and the Asian Cup of clubs of the 20th century - Al Hilal; Czech vice champion - Sparta Prague; 2010 Iran Cup Winner - Piroozi FC Team; the champion of Slovakia playing in the UEFA Champions League is the Zilina club and the champion of Russia, the winner of the UEFA Cup in 2008, the Russian football club Zenit. In the finals, Al Hilal and Zenit clubs met, the victory went to athletes from Al Hilal. Thus, the “Zenith” was not able to win their first cup in the 2011 season.
