Night owls time

I like to get up early and go to bed early. Long-standing habit? Self-discipline? Biorhythms? I don’t know, but I am a classic Lark. And only two periods in a year can turn me into an “owl”, moreover, it is completely invisible to the object of transformation. The first is New Year's Eve and the New Year itself, followed by (though it would be the other way around) Christmas and New Year's celebrations (now everything is right) according to the old style. The second is the holy month of Ramadan falling recently in the fall or summer, when no one eats or drinks during the day, and therefore people hardly communicate with each other, but then the whole "party", visits to guests and gatherings in restaurants move to the dark time of day and stretch to the "first cocks". Did you notice, by the way, how lucky we are again? All the rest have night vigils only during the New Year and Christmas holidays, but with us ... However, this is not about that now.

With the first stroke of the clock on all the towers of the world, announcing the coming of the New Year, our life smoothly flows from daytime waking to nighttime. And we all become representatives of the multimillion-dollar, if not billion-strong, detachment of "night owls," without knowing it ourselves. Bom-mmm ... We already see in the dark! Bom-mmm ... Flap your wings and ... flew! We ran, rushed ... After all, so many interesting, important, urgent and festive things you need not to miss. And the arrival of Santa Claus with treasured gifts "under the Christmas tree." And a bunch of festivals, pop concerts, discos and presentations, which for some reason do not want to start at 10 in the morning, like children's morning performances. And adventures of clubs and friends, and the "invasion" of guests at your own home, and the visits of close and distant relatives, and meeting your parents (if someone is lucky to meet their love right on the eve of the coming year). And by the way, congratulate all those who were born not once, namely on the first day of the New Year. Even in our editorial office there is such a person whom we all congratulate in chorus!

And then, beyond all this mess, one does not notice how the next shopping festival will come in Dubai, spinning around with its fireworks, discounts and endless lotteries. And after him, you look, and February with decorated hearts Valentine's Day, and then a solid and beautiful holiday beloved men who honestly defended the Fatherland. And so - day and night ... To fall asleep, in extreme cases, if it works out and the head permits, it can be done in the afternoon. And from evening to morning, if you please! Be ready to take off at the first call! Our time has come - "night owls", turning large cities into never sleeping. However, do not think that time will last forever. Carpe Diem! So Horace advised! Seize the moment and enjoy it today and now!

After all, for that they are the best holidays in the world in order to recharge from them with joy and goodness for the whole coming year. Oh, by the way, it would be nice to think about, at least for a couple of days, the restoration of health in some decent spa, so that there is enough energy and strength to run along the trail of the restless White Rabbit ... Be cheerful and happy, and then there is no apathy in which in general, "what an owl about a stump, what a hemp about an owl", you are not afraid! And when, in the end, you slow down the pace taken for the chimes and your reincarnation happens from “owl” to “lark”, it will bring a little sadness and you will freeze for almost a year in anticipation of the coming season of “night owls”. Take care of each other! Strive to do good deeds! Pity those who are weaker! May the New Year give you endless happiness and the ability to "see in the dark." Like owls!

Sincerely, Elena Olkhovskaya Editor-in-Chief
