The son of the former ruler of the emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum (Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum), the brother of the former ruler of the emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum (Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum) and the uncle of the current ruler of the emirate of Dubai bahey sheikh Al Maktoum (Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum).
