Sheikh Hamdan invites all residents of Dubai to become volunteers for one day

Dubai residents received messages from the Crown Prince asking them to join the volunteer movement.

'Day for Dubai' is a new initiative launched by the Crown Prince of Dubai in December. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad Al Maktoum invites to participate in volunteer initiatives.

On Thursday morning, residents of the emirate received messages from the Crown Prince, saying: "Join me at www.dayyfordubai.com to strengthen Dubai's position as an international city of charity and a center of tolerance and compassion."

The message contains a link to the application 'Day for Dubai', which offers 14 categories of volunteer activities, including work with children and youth, people with special needs, and older people. The application is available for users of Apple devices and devices with the Android operating system. All categories have subcategories. Thus, residents can choose any volunteer activity convenient for themselves.

The message also lists upcoming events, such as a marathon, a summit of the World Government, UAE National Sports Day and much more.

“Day for Dubai is a new initiative that demonstrates what can be achieved in just one day of charity. Day for Dubai, in tribute to the humanistic legacy of our founding father in 2018, Year of Zayed, encourages everyone to share their time, devoting at least one day a year of volunteering - helping those in need, improving and supporting our city and our community. Charity can take various forms, including, but not limited to, your time, your skills, hobbies and your compassion. Together we can make Dubai the most outstanding we have a city in just one day, "the report said.

Dubai residents talked about received SMS on social networks and expressed their willingness to join the initiative.
