UAE one of the first countries in the world to launch 5G communication technology

Mobile operators in the United Arab Emirates will begin deploying 5G networks from the beginning of 2018.

The UAE will be one of the first countries in which a 5G network will be deployed. On Sunday, December 24, the country's Telecommunications Authority (TRA) announced that mobile operators in the UAE will be able to begin building communication networks from the beginning of 2018.

In a statement, TRA emphasized that operators will begin to use the technology in several stages.

Following the announcement of TRA, telecommunications provider Etisalat has confirmed that it will implement 5G technology, while du has not yet provided a comment on this topic. Etisalat plans to offer 5G connectivity, characterized by high speeds and low latency, to consumers and businesses.

An Etisalat spokesman said on Sunday that no mobile device currently available on the market supports 5G. He added that at the time of launch, 5G technology will focus primarily on artificial intelligence and big data.

The launch of 5G in the UAE is expected to benefit various industries, including education, healthcare, energy and manufacturing.
