UAE authorities will issue illegal immigrants a six-month visa for the duration of a job search.
UAE residents wishing to legalize their status under the current visa amnesty program are given the opportunity to apply for a temporary visa for a period of six months in order to find work. When distributing vacancies that appear in the country, priority will be given to applicants from the pool of applicants registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.
“If illegal immigrants do not find work within six months, they will have to leave the country,” said Halaf Al Gait, deputy general director of the General Directorate for Residents and Foreign Citizens (GDRFA).
Recall that the visa amnesty began today and will last three months.
