Phoebe Filo, Creative Director of Céline House, received an award from Queen Elizabeth II

The honorary order of the British Empire went to the creative director of the French House Céline for outstanding achievements in the fashion industry.

Legislator of trends, Filo became the fifth designer in history to receive a prestigious award. Other English designers who were awarded the Knight's Order before her were Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, the great modist Stephen Jones, and Sarah Burton, who is currently the creative director of Alexander McQueen House.

Filo received the award from the hands of Prince Charles during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Instead of a beloved image, consisting mainly of trousers and “jackets”, the designer chose a laconic little black dress with a white ribbon around her neck.
