Text: Anna Pavlova A NEW STAR IS LITTLE ON THE SKYLESS OF A HOME DECOR - SWAROVSKI COMPANY HAS LAUNCHED A DEBUTY COLLECTION OF HOME GOODS. SUCH MASTERS WORKED ABOUT ITS CREATION, AS Aldo Bakker, RAW EDGES DESIGNER DUET AND ZAHA ZHADID. THE COLLECTION CONSISTS OF 30 WORKS OF THE HOME DECOR, THE PRICE FOR WHICH WILL BELL FROM 285 TO 20 000 DOLLARS. FOR SALE GOODS WILL GO IN AUTUMN.

Atelier Swarovski Home builds on the success of the Atelier Swarovski line, the first jewelry collection that, in 2007, Nadia Swarovski, great-great-granddaughter of Daniel Swarovski, who founded the family business of polishing crystal glass in Austria in 1895, launched as an experimental platform for design and high-fashion stars . Recall that Atelier Swarovski is a space for creative dialogue between Swarovski and third-party designers, so dissimilar from each other: Christopher Kane, Karl Lagerfeld or Zaha Hadid.

Out of such a union, forms were struck that were striking in their unusualness - after all, all these masters were given complete freedom of creative expression. And the designers of the fashion house Maison Margiela together with Swarovski even developed a completely new material - magic crystallactite.

The launch of the Atelier Swarovski Home collection marks a new chapter in the history of the brand and testifies to its desire to expand its product range.

When creating objects, designers combined crystal rhinestones with other materials and actively used new technologies developed by Swarovski specialists, for example, crystal printing and wave-cutting techniques.

Zaha Hadid, who left untimely in March this year, worked to create an object that consists of several fused bent tubes, the embodiment of the “natural, natural crystallization process”. For London, Raw Edges is the first collaboration experience with Swarovski. Designers have developed a set of vases designed using laser printing on crystal - from the inside they are decorated with bright color hatching, which is refracted and distorted by a layer of crystal.

Fredrickson Stallard made multi-faceted candlesticks, vases and bowls, reminiscent of the texture of raw crystal, and Aldo Bakker created vases that combine seemingly incompatible materials - crystal and marble. All pieces in the chess set of Daniel Libeskind repeat his architectural designs. The chessboard shows maps of Milan and New York, while miniature architectural models are made of concrete, marble, Daniel silver and crystal.

Norwegian designer Kim Tome's Plinth and Donuts candlesticks are small stainless steel columns that rest on round crystal hats. Thomas Alonso presented a set of bowls and trays that attract attention with bright colored edges.

The bookshelves of Ron Arad are made in the form of letters and numbers of a new font designed specifically for this collection. And Thord Bunge introduced the lamps, a bucket for cooling wine, a vase and a set for caviar.

“Our main goal is to create luxurious crystal decor items that will become works of contemporary design art,” says Nadia Swarovski. “Absolutely any item in the collection can decorate the interior of your home.”
