Three happy days ...

MALDIVES, many associated with advertising "BOUNTY" - sexy girl is splashing in the clear turquoise waves, a bevy of FISH flew by, palm trees leaning under the weight of their fruit OVER white sand, the coconuts are falling and crashing ... And Let it be known that a video clip was filmed in another place , FROM RELAXATION IN THE MALDIVES WE EXPECT THIS EXPERIENCE - PARADISE PLEASURE.

The night flight to Male from Dubai, it must be said, was not particularly tiring - there was enough space on board the first Maldivian Flydubai flight to take a few seats and take a nap. Despite the early arrival, at 06:20 local time, we were cheerful and cheerful, because right at the plane's ramp, waving flower wreaths, the delegation of journalists was greeted by hot Maldivian guys with songs and dances. To the incendiary rhythms of the tom-toms, we went to the VIP-hall of the airport, where charming girls in national clothes offered the arrivals coconut milk in shaggy fruits with a straw. Those who did not want to taste the exotic simply ate a light breakfast while waiting for passport control.

Dancing and music continued on the pier, where the boat of the Jumeirah Vittaveli hotel was waiting for us. Suitcases were already loaded into the luggage compartment of the boat, and we, putting on life jackets, for 20 minutes, comfortably, rumbled to the island of Bolifushi, South Male Atoll.

The hotel welcomed us with a refreshing coconut drink! Which, they say, not only quenches thirst, but also brings extraordinary benefits to the body, being even healthier and less high-calorie than orange juice. Although I don’t really like the coconut flavor, I tried to drink it all these three days, instead of alcohol. Suddenly help.

Stilt house

For a relaxing brunch on the seashore, we were assigned numbers, as in a pioneer camp - someone got the “coolest” bungalow, and someone got into an “ordinary” villa, simpler. Although hardly any of the rooms offered by the hotel can be called simple. The island has 91 villas of various categories: 36 one-bedroom beachfront villas; 8 two-story family villas on the beach; 39 water houses with individual descent to the lagoon, connected to the shore by a bridge; 7 two-story detached water villas on stilts and 1 luxurious secluded villa with its own private pier, its own beach and two private pools.

I got one of the most expensive rooms in the price category - a two-story water villa with panoramic ocean views and a private pool. When the boat brought me to the berth of the room (and it is impossible to get to it in any other way), I, of course, was sad that I had no one to share such a luxurious territory with. On the ground floor of the villa: a spacious living room, dressing room, bathroom with marble bathtub and shower. Two exits to the outdoor terrace with a private pool (17 sq.m), sunbeds, a descent to the lagoon, a dining area and a king size trestle bed by the sea, where it is very convenient to take a massage. A wooden spiral staircase leads to the second bedroom floor, where a king-size bed (2 x 2 m) and a bathroom with shower are waiting.

Despite the fatigue from the flight, in the first place, I still decide to swim. A little slippery steps, and ... here it is, the refreshing January coolness of the Indian Ocean! Having plenty of swimming, I’m recovering in the shower, whence, standing under the "torrential" streams, I admire the sea landscape ... oh, God, what do I see? There is a stranger on my veranda! I got out of the water on the stairs, wiped with my towel! This is not to say that I was very happy about the unexpected visit, despite my recent sadness about being alone in such a romantic place. I resolutely go out into the light, and the guy from fear almost falls back into the water. As the saying goes, "Do not be afraid, I myself am afraid." It turns out that the neighbor simply mixed up the villas, swam from the sea - there are no numbers on their outside, and the "towers" are very similar. Perhaps, after this incident, identification marks will appear on the water villas from all sides.

We laughed merrily at the situation and, having changed clothes (each at home, of course), we went to explore the island.

Features of local recreation

Each island of the Maldives is good in its own way. I already had the experience of traveling to one of them last year and, frankly, it seemed boring to me there - that hotel is clearly designed only for lovers, who, of all the amusements, are enough for each other.

Here, we were offered a choice of several opportunities to spend our holidays fully: procedures in the spa, yoga, water sports and various outdoor classes for each day of the week.

I began my acquaintance with Talise Spa, if anyone does not know, this is the spa of the Jumeirah hotel chain. At the Jumeirah Vittaveli, the reception spa is surrounded by a tropical garden, and the procedures took me to a separate office located in a small house on the water. The atmosphere is very pleasant, but massage in Dubai Talise is done better, although, perhaps, it is not necessary once or twice.

But marine entertainment pleased! I am not keen on diving, so I immediately signed up for windsurfing lessons. The instructor was patient, with an excellent sense of humor and even a small stock of Russian words. I am sure that if I had at least a week of time (and enough money), I would have learned to beautifully dissect turquoise waves under sail.

The one who chose diving was also satisfied - not far from the island there are three sunken ships, and a “home” reef rich in fauna and flora, quite interesting even for ordinary lovers with fins and a mask.

In general, I want to make a separate digression about the fauna. I haven’t seen such unusual entertainment anywhere else - at exactly the appointed time, the water inhabitants of the Maldives gather for an afternoon snack right on the shore of the island. The kids are delighted, and the adults are not far behind - where else can you see the stingray rotating with bulging eyes, right at your feet? Local herons and maakans flock to watch the action. By the way, boats serving hotel guests are named after them. Later, the rest of the sea fraternity picks up "to the table." Numerous crabs crawl in the sand. Such a peaceful family entertainment is to feed living creatures, to observe nature ...

It is very relaxing and calming, even for some three days it helps to escape from the hustle and bustle that remained somewhere there in the city. But is this why we are going to the Maldives?

Eat, drink, swim, sunbathe, love ... Not much is needed to achieve spiritual harmony.
